20 Ton Studios Feasibility Study

This early 1900s transformer substation was repurposed as an art studio for large format work. When the owners considered a long-term, multi-use plan (office, rooftop residential, and meeting/event space), we performed a structural assessment. MCE identified issues with the building and provided a feasibility study for the structural impacts of these changes, such as increasing load on the existing building and creating the penthouse while keeping most of the large and open interior space.
